The Messi Mission - LAFC vs Inter Miami
Yeah, If I don’t bullshit, then the main reason for coming to LA was to see Messi’s performance on the West Coast for the first time. Unfortunately, all the tickets were sold out, so I had to switch to a plan B
Los Angeles Streets
When I travel, I enjoy soaking up the atmosphere of a new place more than the attractions.
The streets in Los Angeles, especially on a slightly rainy day, were lively and diverse, like something out of a movie – exactly what I was looking for.
It felt like I was walking among different characters and stories.
Santa Monica
This is another pier, but I came here in the morning, so there wasn’t much going on. Honestly, San Francisco’s PIER 39 is more attractive.
What stood out, though, was an encounter with a scammer.
He gave away his flyer about his YouTube channel, telling me this flyer was free and then signed on it while saying he was a well-known YouTuber. Then he asked me for money. I said I didn’t have cash, but he still asked me for an online transfer. He was sure I had money and believed I must have money for eating. I tried to reject him, and then he got angry, took his flyer from my hand, and finally let me walk away.
What a YouTuber! He should learn from real YouTubers like HoangYell, who make money by creating quality content, rather than begging on the streets like the homeless.
Universal Studios Hollywood
What is not calculated in advance is buying tickets on holiday, which was the reason the ticket fare was too expensive. $150 per ticket! It was still worth it if you have good health to discover all places in this large area. I got tired halfway through the park and had to call it a day.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter
Q: Where is this place?
A: England
Q: How?
A: There is a Platform 9¾ in Universal Studios Hollywood
Yes, you can enter the magical world of Harry Potter in LA. You can see the Hogwarts castle, ride the Hogwarts Express, buy some wands and robes, and drink some butterbeer. It’s a dream come true for Harry Potter fans.
Universal Studios Houses
Do you feel those houses look very familiar? Yeah, you may have seen them already in some movies. They are the sets of famous films like Psycho, Back to the Future, Desperate Housewives, and more. It was fun to see these sets in person and imagine the scenes they were used in.
Los Angeles Houses
While exploring Los Angeles, I stumbled upon Rosewood Avenue, a residential area with beautiful, big, and elegant houses. I wondered who lived there and what they did for a living. Maybe they were celebrities or millionaires or both.
Griffith Observatory
This place is great for hiking with clean air and a panoramic view of the whole city, including the Hollywood Sign. You can see the Hollywood Sign from here. But that’s all. I don’t think this is a great attraction place. It’s just a big building with some telescopes and exhibits about astronomy. Nothing too exciting or impressive. Maybe I’m not a fan of science or maybe I expected too much from this place.
Hollywood Walk Of Fame
Damn, The Hollywood Walk Of Fame turned out to be less glamorous than I expected. I don’t know if the stars are honored or offended to be named on this street. It’s supposed to be a tribute to the legends of the entertainment industry, but it looks more like a mockery.
So, that’s my adventure in LA. I hope you enjoyed reading about it and maybe got some ideas for your own travels. This marks the end of my 100 days in America series. Now, I’m thinking about what to write about when I return to Vietnam. Stay tuned!
